Parametric Product Design

A selection of custom interior products designed and created using parametric design solutions. Parametric models output the necessary geometries, drawings and information for fabrication.

LASERCUT MAP TABLES

2021 - present | Series of custom tables with a lasercut tabletop of city maps. A sealed glass plate on top ensures the table can be used like any other.

The lasercutting file is generated using a combination of open street data, modeling by hand and a parametric model.

PARAMETRIC KNITTING PATTERN

2022 | A hobby project. Knitted blanket using a custom parametrized 'log cabin' knitting pattern. The parametric model generates the design using attractor curves. The model then determines the knitting pattern for each panel and outputs the number of stitches and rows, as well as the total amount of yarn required for each color. 

The blanket is 2 x 2.2 m and requires 25 balls of yarn and almost 300,000 stitches to complete. When completed, it will weigh nearly 2,5 kg.

3D PRINTED MAP COASTERS

2022 | Coasters to accompany the lasercut map tables. Generated from open street data, 3D-printed in multiple colors.
